Headshot Preparation Guide
This headshot investment and experience will be like no other. You will receive facial expression coaching, directions and guidance step of the way. The information below is a guideline to help you prepare for your headshot session. Following this guide will benefit you tremendously. We want you to look your very best.
Clothing
Clothing is a form of expression so my best piece of advice when choosing clothes is bring at least three of your favorite outfits if you can. Solid colors look great in headshots. Please try avoid anything with a pattern or design. Patterns tend to be distracting in a headshot.
The fit of your clothing is important. Baggy or excessively tight clothing won’t bring out your best. If you’re wearing something that wrinkles easily, don’t wear it on the way to the shoot - you can change at the studio.
If you have clothing that you want to shoot that does not fit these guidelines, please bring those clothes! Bring your favorite clothes if you booked the VIP SESSION.
Lips & Make-up
A subtle application of make-up can really soften your skin and accent your facial features.Please carry your makeup to touch up if you need to. Avoid makeup with an SPF, as this causes shine. Use lip balm for a few days in advance of your shoot to make your lips look their best.
Hair
Bring a brush and some hair product (gel/hairspray) with you to the shoot to help calm fly-aways. If you're having a hair cut, please do so at least 2 days before
Jewelery
If you have something that you really love to use in your headshot please bring it.
